As an Adventist I have friends that will not eat chocolate due to the fact that it has caffeine in it. Tips For Chocolate Tasting At Chocolate Tasting Parties

What's better than a delicious decadent bite of sweet mouth watering chocolate?

Chocolate tasting parties perhaps?

You don't know what a chocolate tasting party is? You clearly don't know what you're missing.

Picture this.

5, 10, 15 or more plates of the best chocolate on the market ready for chocolate tasting at your leisure. Sound nummy? You bet it does.

How do you find out about such parties? Easy. Just call Guy or Irene at 509.993.7215 or 253.948.2509 and say, "I want to attend a chocolate tasting party" and leave the rest up to us.

But wait, there's more. If you are within the greater Spokane area and choose to host a no cost to you chocolate party where 10 or more adult participants participate we will give you a secret prize as a way of saying thank you.

I bet you want to know what the secret prize is.

If I told you it wouldn't be secret now would it?

Here's a hint. Think chocolate. That's not a hint! It's a dead give-away. Oh well, I guess that's the way the chocolate melts.

Speaking of hints, here are three secrets to greater enjoyment when participating in a chocolate tasting party.

#1: Taste in small amounts and return later for seconds on what you enjoyed.

I know, I know; it's chocolate. What's not to enjoy? But the pure fact of the matter is that when you over indulge you trade the sensual sensations of the moment for a much less fulfilling experience.

#2: Cleanse your palate between chocolates with unsalted crackers.

Remember those Coke verse Pepsi booths where they have you eat a cracker or two in-between taste tests? Now you know why they did that. With a clean palate the actual experience you receive is much closer to reality.

#3: Keep your chocolate at room temperature for at least 2-3 hours before the party for chocolate tasting success.

Okay, this tip is more for me when I bring the chocolate. But then it's for you too as you anxiously wait for that moment of sweet sensations to arrive at one of your own chocolate tasting parties.

With that said, pickup the phone right now. Your chocolate is waiting.

If you are referring to the normal store bought chocolate you are correct, however healthy chocolate actually heals the mouth of various types of diseases.

2 Chocolate Myths Part 3: Find Out The Truth About Chocolate While Exploring 2 Major Chocolate Myths.

Chocolate.

Wouldn't it be nice to discover that chocolate is actually good for you?

Let's explore the truth about chocolate on our way to exposing the chocolate myths. Such myths include the following about chocolate…

* Chocolate is bad for people to consume.
* Eating chocolate will make you gain weight.
* Caffeine is a huge ingredient in chocolate
* Only serve chocolate for desert.
* Diabetics cannot eat chocolate
* Chocolate gives you cavities
* Major skin problems, like acne, result from eating chocolate

There are the major myths in a nutshell. Let's start breaking each of them down and see where we end up.

MYTH #5: Diabetics cannot eat chocolate
Q: Why do people believe that diabetics are not able to eat chocolate?

A: It is largely believed that the sugars in chocolate and other candies cause dramatic sift in the insulin levels of a diabetic. Therefore, it has generally been thought that a diabetic should not partake of sweet treats. With proper moderation this does not have to be the case. Even further, if a diabetic consumes sugars right after eating a meal they affects can be much less dramatic on their bodies.

Q: Do chocolates have any good properties for diabetics?

A: Yes. They are called flavenols, which can produce two positive affects within the diabetic.

* Improve the utilization of insulin
* Reduce blood sugar levels

Flavenols, which are nutrients found in cocoa are considered to act as antioxidants and anti-inflammatories on cells. These chemicals can protect cells and tissue from damage, which in turn protects against heart disease and cancer.

Q: What is the problem with dietetics eating chocolate?

A: Clearly, the problem does not reside within the chocolate itself but rather the fats and processed sugars that are added to chocolate to make it the delicious delicacy that modern cultures everywhere love to consume.

Wouldn't it be great if there were a chocolate that didn't include "all things bad for you"? Wouldn't it be even better if it actually tasted good and was good for you? That's exactly why we are telling everyone everywhere to check out Xocai's healthy chocolate. Once you understand the diabetics chocolate myths you are closer to knowing the truth about chocolate.

2 Chocolate Myths Part 2: Find Out The Truth About Chocolate While Exploring 2 Major Chocolate Myths.

Chocolate.

Wouldn't it be nice to discover that chocolate is actually good for you?

Let's explore the truth about chocolate on our way to exposing the chocolate myths. Such myths include the following about chocolate…

1. Chocolate is bad for people to consume.
2. Eating chocolate will make you gain weight.
3. Caffeine is a huge ingredient in chocolate
4. Only serve chocolate for desert.
5. Diabetics cannot eat chocolate
6. Chocolate gives you cavities
7. Major skin problems, like acne, result from eating chocolate

There are the major myths in a nutshell. Let's start breaking each of them down and see where we end up.

MYTH #3: Caffeine is a huge ingredient in chocolate.
The truth is that chocolate does indeed contain caffeine. However the level of caffeine in an ordinary soft drink is much higher than what you will find in chocolate.

There is however theobromine in chocolate.

What is theobromine?

Theobromine is a bitter alkaloid C7H8N4O2 closely related to caffeine that occurs especially in cacao beans and has stimulant and diuretic properties.

Theobromine has many benefits as opposed to caffeine including…

* stimulates the heart
* relaxes smooth muscle
* dilates blood vessels
* used to treat high blood pressure
* used to tread hardening of the arteries
Thus we can conclude that Theobromine is actually good for you to consume as compared to related substances such as caffeine.

MYTH #4: Only serve chocolate for desert.

While chocolate is indeed good as desert leaving it only in that category is indeed a grave mistake.

Here are just some ideas I found online for non-desert related chocolate recipes.

* Pepper-Crusted Beef Tenderloin with Chocolate-Port Sauce
* Chocolate Caramel Nut Salad
* Chocolate Chicken

Clearly chocolate doesn't just need to mean desert, especially if you think of the traditional hot chocolate drinks that are available for people to drink.

Yet two more chocolate myths exposed as we learn the truth about chocolate.

2 Chocolate Myths Part 1: Find Out The Truth About Chocolate While Exploring 2 Major Chocolate Myths.

3. Caffeine is a huge ingredient in chocolate.
4. Only serve chocolate for desert.
5. Diabetics cannot eat chocolate
6. Chocolate gives you cavities
7. Major skin problems, like acne, result from eating chocolate

There are the major myths in a nutshell. Let's start breaking each of them down and see where we end up.

MYTH #1: Chocolate is bad for people to consume.

When you are talking about the chocolate that is available at most local grocery stores, then you are correct. However, in its purer form there are quite a number of healthy benefits to chocolate. The amount of phytonutrition that is in pure chocolate is simply unbelievable. Therefore, the problem isn't in chocolate being bad for you but rather where does a person find the best chocolate to consume?

Here is a breakdown of what is available in true cocoa bean chocolate.

* B1
* B2
* B3
* B5
* B6
* C
* E
* Copper
* Calcium
* Phosphorous
* Iron
* Magnesium
* Zinc
* Manganese

Simply put, true unadulterated chocolate can indeed provide many healthy antioxidants to your body and is full of polyphenols as well as flavenoids.

MYTH #2: Eating chocolate will make you gain weight.

If we are talking about candy bar type chocolate, then this is likely correct.

However, if we are going to continue examining healthy chocolate then it's another story altogether. Healthy dark chocolate comes packed full of…

* tryptophan
* serotonin
* dopamine

Neurotransmitters are able to block one's over indulgent appetite as well as keeping food cravings at bay. The majority of scientists agree that derivates like cocoa butter that come from the cocoa bean contribute to lipid profiles which are unquestionably healthy.

In our next article we will continue exploring the facts verse fiction of our chocolate journey. Here are the next two topics…

* Caffeine is a huge ingredient in chocolate
* Only serve chocolate for desert.

Isn't it time you know the truth about chocolate while setting aside the unnecessary chocolate myths?

Healthy Chocolate Revolution: The Healthy Chocolate Business Starts With The Healthy Chocolate Revolution

Healthy chocolate revolution!

Perhaps you've heard of it. After all, it's the cornerstone of the healthy chocolate business that is raging through the industry today.

For far to long our culture has been inundated with unhealthy chocolate.

Why?

Simply put...

* It tastes good
* It gives quick energy
* And it's cheap

Try to check out from most any grocery store and you will be presented with at least a small assortment of different chocolate treats if not a whole lot more than a little.

Here are some interesting facts about modern day consumption of chocolate.

1. Americans eat 10 – 12 pounds of chocolate on average per year.
2. Women crave chocolate, which contributes to weight control problems like bulimia, obesity, and binges.
3. Medical studies report that consuming chocolate in moderation may actually prolong life by reducing blood clots as well as stopping bad cholesterol.
4. U.S. chocolate manufacturers use 3.5 million pounds of whole milk every day to make chocolate.
5. Contrary to popular belief, chocolate is not high in caffeine. Coffee, tea and soft drinks contain far more caffeine than what you find in chocolate.

Clearly, chocolate has its disadvantages as well as its advantages. A large part of the problem with chocolate is not the actual chocolate but rather what we put into it. However, what if it were possible to eat healthy chocolate that was…

* Diabetic friendly
* Weight-loss friendly
* Immune enriching
* Disease fighting
* Recommended by dentists

Would that be something you could sink your teeth into? Personally, I think that would be deliciously divine. Have you heard of Xocai "tm"? Believe me, if I could tell you personally how yummyingly healthy this chocolate is, I would. However, since my mouth is currently full I recommend you trying it for yourself.

Since people are going to eat chocolate with or without you, doesn't it just make sense to introduce them to the healthy chocolate revolution and an awesome healthy chocolate business? We think so.

Cocao Bean: Do You Know Chocolate Fantasies Like Gourmet Truffles Come From The Cocao Bean

Have you ever sunk your teeth into the delicious mouth watering sensation of a gourmet truffle? Speaking of the things chocolate fantasies are made of.

* So rich!
* So creamy!
* So cocao.

With each savory bite you know you must be eating something deliriously naughty. However, the truth is your not!

Don't get me wrong. With the addition of items like milk and sugars that are bad for you, many of these little treats are not your friends.

However, the chocolate part, the cocao part is actually a bean. Yes, that's right. Chocolate comes from the cocao bean when in and of itself is not bad for our bodies to consume. What makes the truffles "sinful" is not the chocolate but rather what people put with the chocolate that is supposed to make it taste so good.

The moral to this story is that the way cocao is prepared is what makes it a hazard to your health. There is one company that actually cold presses cocao allowing it to retain many of its healthful properties. They also refuse to add the sugars and milk ingredients that result in this bean no longer being considered of tremendous nutritional value.

Cocao beans and coco beans are actually different types of beans. Cocao is the fruit of cocao trees that are normally found in areas like Mexico, Venezuela and Ecuador. The yellow, green or violet pod of cocao beans are pulled from the trunk of a cocao tree, then the beans are scooped out. After the beans are fermented and dried, they are cleaned, roasted and hulled. The shells of the bean are removed and the remaining contents, or “nibs,” are blended like coffee beans to produce different colors and flavors. Nibs are then ground until the cocao butter is released. Heat from the grinding process causes this mixture of cocao butter and finely ground nibs to melt and form a free-flowing substance known as chocolate liquor. From there, different varieties of chocolate are produced. -- http://www.travellady.com/Issues/October05/1903CocaoBean.htm

By understanding more about the healthy nutritional value of the cocao bean we can enjoy the chocolate fantasies of gourmet truffles as long as we make sure they are made of the right ingredients for our bodies.

Body By Chocolate: How To Gain Nutritionally Healthy Weight Controlled Body By Chocolate

Of course, I'm joking. I just put that title there to see if I could get your attention.

BUTTTTTT….

What if it were possible to gain a body by chocolate eating that you have always wanted. You know, one that is

* Nutritionally healthy
* Well balanced
* Weight controlled

Wouldn't that just be divine? I can see it now, everyone and their neighbor rushing down to the local grocery store to buy up all the candy bars as they started this fad diet.

Okay okay, enough daydreaming about sweet things.

But before we move on, did you know that the Cacoa bean is actually very healthy for you to consume?

No, really. It is. The antioxidants that it has in it are even higher than that of the acai berry, which is a true leader in the pack.

The problem is that our culture is used to the milk, sugar and other junk that is added to the chocolate to make it an instant consumable that people everywhere are buying up. If only we could find a substitute that stripped away all these unnecessary additional ingredients that people everywhere are consuming.

However, once you do that the chocolate doesn't taste the same and people go in search of what they are used to instead.

But what if you could statistically prove that eating such chocolate without the added milk or sugar would increase the immune system, decrease diseases, increase energy, decrease appetite, and be diabetic friendly?

What then?
Would people try it?

Would you try it?

In a culture of aging baby boomers where health issues are becoming paramount there is one company that thinks people will be interested. I'm not sure, but looking at their continued growth even in these rough economic times might just prove them to be right.

Your dream has indeed come true. It is now possible to have a nutritionally healthy weight controlled body by chocolate if you find the only company on the web that is successfully accomplishing such feats on a daily and regular basis. Happy hunting.

ORAC Score: What Is The ORAC Score For Acai Berries

Perhaps you already know what the ORAC score is.

I didn't until just the other night.

According to Wikipedia an ORAC or Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity…

"Is a method of measuring antioxidant capacities of different foods. It was developed by the scientists at the National Institute on Aging in the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Baltimore, Maryland. Correlation between the high antioxidant capacity of fruits and vegetables, and the positive impact of diets high in fruits and vegetables, is believed to play an important role in the Free-radical theory of aging."

With that said let's look at the top 10 fruit & vegetable ORAC scores.

* Cherry = 100
* Cranberry = 125
* Broccoli = 130
* Spinach = 150
* Green pepper = 160
* Red raspberry = 210
* Elderberry = 240
* Wild blueberry = 260
* Wild black raspberry = 340
* Acai berry (freeze dried) = 1026

It is important to note that higher numbers from the above list have greater values to our nutritional intake.

With that said one can easily see that the Acai berry is the clear leader of the pack. Unfortunately, finding such berries available on the open market may prove to be much more challenging than picking up a stock of broccoli or handful of cherries.

Do you even know what an Acai berry looks like? I didn't. Why should I? After all, they are not a standard part of the choices available at the majority of grocery stores, at least not in my area.

For the record they are tiny grape like berries with a large seed in the middle.
Now that we understand how valuable an Acai berry can be, wouldn't it be great to know where to get your own personal supply of this valuable fruit? Following is a list of several options and their ORAC value per fluid ounce.

Again, the higher the number is the more valuable the product will be for your own personal consumption.

* Himilayan Gogi = 400
* Tahitan Noni = 500
* Xango = 550
* MonaVie = 1,027
* Xocai "tm" = 5,270

The above comparisons were developed by Brunswick Laboratories the leader in antioxidant testing in nutritional products.

For the record, I visited the MonaVie site and found them reporting the same score for their ORAC rating as what is listed in the above information.

In closing, I hope that you understand the ORAC score much better than you did previously. Further, given the value for Acai berries according to the ORAC information and how Xocai "tm" is a clear leader in their industry it would seem a logical move to investigate more about this company and its value to your health.

Healthy Weight Control By Eating Healthy Chocolate

Perhaps you're like John McBride.

You've tried all sorts of diets with different levels of success only to find yourself back where you started when you began.

Does healthy weight control have to be so difficult to obtain?

For some perhaps, but John McBride found an answer to his own weight issues by eating healthy chocolate. That may sound to good to be true, but it is true for him and it's his story.

John McBride was a very healthy man until an accident whisked away his future glory by leaving him bed ridden for over 6 months. The man who emerged from those months of agony was not the same healthy spry individual he had been previously.

As the story goes he fought to regain what he had lost only to find the diet plans that he tried along the way to be wanting. Somewhere along the line John discovered healthy chocolate and it changed his life. When I watched his YouTube story I was deeply touched. If consuming healthy chocolate can work for John… what about me?

What about you?

What if, you really could control your weight by healthy chocolate consumption?

With all the other...

* Fad diets
* Weight loss programs
* Books
* CD's
* Seminars
* Etc

Available to today's consumers can you think of anything more delicious to try than losing weight by eating chocolate?

Even if you can, wouldn't such a system at least be worth checking out?

I sure think so. After all, it's chocolate.

And…

It actually tastes good. It tastes really really good, as a matter of fact.

Does this sound like some type of pitch? I'm sorry if it does, but what if there really is something to check out here? Wouldn't it at least be worth a few minutes of your time to investigate further?

The choice is really up to you. What would happen if you actually discovered healthy weight control by eating healthy chocolate? Can achieving a healthy life and healthy body really get any better than that?

Chocolate Can Be Healthy...

*** By Heidi Santiago ***

What if I told you that chocolate can be healthy and really good for you? What if I told you it can radically improve your overall health and wellness? Yes, I said chocolate can be very healthy. But this chocolate is not like the chocolate “candy” we are all used to craving. Join The Healthy Chocolate Revolution With This Healthy Chocolate Business Opportunity

Healthy Chocolate.

Can life get any better than that?

To bad it was a dream.

But wait! It's not.

The healthy chocolate revolution has begun and Xocai tm leads the pack with there, own healthy chocolate business opportunity.

If you are like me you promised yourself long ago that you would not fall for another "business opportunity". After all, if you've seen one vitamin you've seen them all, right?

Well, maybe not.

I found out that a friend of mine had gotten involved in this business and against my better judgment decided to attend one of their business presentations. You know, one of those gigs where there is far too much room and far to few other suckers waiting to be gouged?

We entered 5 minutes late and did are best to slide into the back of the room. Problem is sliding into the back of the room was next to impossible. There wasn't even a chair left in the room, which my feet thought as bad, but my intellect certainly saw this as a good thing.

The meeting was brief, no more than 45 minutes at top and then came the indulge opportunity.

Turns out that dark chocolate has this antioxidant stuff (not to mention the power of acai berries) that increases immune system deficiencies, increases energy, and a whole truckload of other things including weight control.

I don't know if those facts are true or not. I really don't care. After all, it's CHOCOLATE!

Quiz time.

* True
* False

Would it be difficult to convince someone to eat chocolate for his or her health? Yeah, I know, there are strange people out there that don't like chocolate; but overall the world loves chocolate much more than they like vitamin capsules.

Like that's not enough for me to try this stuff, they actually have a system setup that pays out in at least 5 different ways. You know, the whole multi-level marketing process. Who cares!

I get to eat CHOCOLATE while enhancing my health. The only way life can get better than that is if they actually paid me for doing it.

Hold the phone.

If I understand what I learned at that meeting correctly they will pay me!

EUREKA!

This healthy chocolate business opportunity rocks!

Sign me up for the healthy chocolate revolution today.

What Is Xocolatl Chocolate

Chocolate.

So rich!
So divine!
So healthy? That depends.

Perhaps the Aztec's knew something we don't as they sat down for a nice hot xocolatl chocolate drink.

What is xocolatl you ask?

Glad you asked. Without research I didn't know the answer. With research I found out…

Xocolatl:
Pronounced [sho koh laht uhl], Xocolatl is from the Aztec language Nuahatl [nah waht uhl], meaning “bitter water”.

Further, I discovered that xocolatl comes from cacao beans grown in Chiapas, Mexico.

3 natural ingredients combine to make the end result of xocolatl. They are…
· Organic cacao mass
· Evaporated cane juice
· Organic cacao butter

"Organic" refers to the way agricultural products - including foods and fibers such as cotton - are grown and processed. The closer one gets to natural processes the greater the associated health of a product would most likely be.

According to Webster cacoa is the dried partly fermented fatty seeds of a South American evergreen tree that are used in making cocoa, chocolate, and cocoa butter. These seeds have been proven to be quite healthy when added to a person's diet.

That's the good news. Unfortunately most of your over the counter chocolate available on the market contains little to none of these ingredients.

Why?

Simple. Healthy chocolate is much more expensive than what they can afford to produce. Yes, money is once again the bottom line for poor health, sad to say.

Fortunately, that's not the end of the story today as there are companies like Xocai tm whose focus is to bring healthy chocolate to market through ways that will help people both with their health and with their finances.

What does all this mean?

Nothing more than you really are able to enjoy chocolate while improving your health at the same time. All you have to do is link up with companies like Xocai tm that specialize in xocolatl chocolate.

Is Chocolate Healthy?

Chocolate. Is it healthy for you to eat?

Some say that answer would be no while others would say yes.

The actual answer to the question "is chocolate healthy?" definitely depends on what you mean by the word chocolate.

If I were going to purpose that store bought milk chocolate is healthy, then you would have reason to be concerned with my opinions.

But then there is dark chocolate. Here is a post I found on WebMD from their October 23, 2008 release.

"It's the best medical news in ages. Studies in two prestigious scientific journals say dark chocolate -- but not white chocolate or milk chocolate -- is good for you."

Simply put, dark chocolate without milk in any form is a wonderful antioxidant.

Webster tells us that an antioxidant is…

"A substance (such as cocoa) that inhibits oxidation or reactions promoted by oxygen, peroxides, or free radicals."

Wouldn't it be wonderful if this could be found within chocolate? Yet it would.

Good news.

This is exactly what dark chocolate provides.

Even better, some known benefits of the cocoa bean include…

* Slowing down hair loss
* Decrease bad coughs
* Help with water retention
* Fight against rheumatism
* Moisten lips
* Aid in healing burns and wounds

And that is just the start of the benefits available from the cocoa bean when it is in the form of dark chocolate with all milk products removed.

Therefore, next time you find yourself wondering "is chocolate healthy"? Rest asurd in knowing that it absolutely does benefit your health as long as it is in the dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate forms. Like many other things in our culture today, it's not the item that leads to poor health but rather what you do with it. So you really can enjoy chocolate while living a healthier more balanced life.
